Key Verse: “They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:8
More than ever, we are living in turbulent times that should compel us to be rooted in our faith and who we are in Christ. When everything around us is shifting and nothing seems certain, we must be intentional in our commitments and firm in what and who we believe. The day draws near, and is already here, when we will be tested. When the winds blow and the ground shakes, will we remain? Will we stand firm? The hour has come when our foundations will be tested to see how deep we are rooted in Christ (Col. 2:6-7), in God’s Word (Ps 1:2-3), in our community (Acts 2:42-47), and in our mission (Mt. 28:18-20).
It’s time to seal your commitments with a vow. Choose to be rooted in a church family that will help you grow. Ground your faith in God’s Word. Seek and walk in God’s calling over your life. Activate the idle gifts in your life that have been given to you by God. You are running out of time! Its time to bear fruit! The time is now to be Rooted!
