Key Verse: Ephesians 4:11-12
11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.
There are many aspects in the making of a culture. From language, to behavior, our attire, our race, our life perspective, and life experiences, each of us has a direct influence in the culture we live in. Cultures exist at home, at school, at work, in communities, in the world, and even in the church. We are living in times where the world culture is trying to impose the church culture. This is why there is no greater moment than now for churches to be rooted in Kingdom culture. That is, understanding what the Scriptures teach us about the aspects of cultivating a Kingdom culture on this earth that reflects Heaven. The Word teaches us about proper language for a disciple (Js. 3:9-10). It tells us that we are rooted in Christ (Col. 2:7-9), that we are citizens of Heaven (Phil. 3:20), and that our behavior must demonstrate the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Col. 1:10).
More specifically, an important aspect of God’ Kingdom is the fivefold ministry order He has given through His Son Jesus Christ (Eph. 4:11). Out of this order flows power and anointing of the Holy Spirit through the church to cultivate a Kingdom culture made up of unity, honor, faith, Kingdom knowledge, wisdom, service to one another, maturity, and most important of all…love. Let us unite in the church vision of “Cultivating a Kingdom Culture.”
