Many suggestions are being made about what the church should be. The issues of our world and local communities are challenging the church to either conform to the world or to be the church God intended it to be. Many are following current trends, some are being governed by social-political issues, and yet others are permitting worldly culture to influence their identity. In the midst of everything being said about who and what the church should be, it is time to go back to the Book that originated everything and remember what God has decided the church should be. Jesus said the gates of hell would not prevail over the church (Mt. 16:18). The church is to be holy (Eph. 2:21), to be the salt and light of the earth (Mt. 5:14), and it is living and holds to the truth (1 Tim. 3:15). Today’s church must be built according to His plan and not the plan of man. Let us focus on being “A Church by the Book” and discover what the Bible says about how the church should be. You are the church. So what does the Book say about a man by The Book, a woman by The Book, a marriage by The Book, or a family by the Book? Join us as we turn to The Book to find the answers to who and what we should be in our generation.
