Key Verse: Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
Jesus breaks barriers. He entered the world through the womb of a virgin breaking the barrier between God and humanity. He spoke with the woman at the well (Jn. 4) breaking the barriers of expectations, culture, and tradition. He ate with tax collectors and sinners (Mk. 2:13-17) breaking the barriers of stereotypes and prejudice. Jesus broke religious barriers when He cleared the temple of moneychangers and broke religious protocol to heal a crippled man on the Sabbath. He broke these barriers so that we can be free to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit and do His will on earth as it is in heaven.
God saves us through His Son, not just to restore our relationship with Him, but He calls us to a task. He invites us to partner with Him in breaking the barriers in our lives and in the lives of others for the sake of fulfilling the destiny He has placed in each of us. But our world has been plagued with barriers that have divided and detained us from becoming what God has called us to be and doing what God has destined His sons and daughters to do. Let us break down the barriers that divide us so that we can walk in the freedom of the Spirit and fulfill our destiny in Christ.
