Event Summary

This year we celebrate 37 years of ministry and prepare to host our 14th and final year of “Vision Week”. It is a time of year when we celebrate the beginning of our ministry, reflect on the state of the church and revisit, refine, and recast the mission, vision, and the heart of God for our individual life and the Body of Christ.

This year we have decided to feature the affiliated pastors of our ministry as we conclude the “Vision Week” gatherings that we have hosted for many years and prepare for something new. So stay tuned for what God has in store.

Event Purpose

As we reflect on all that God has done this past year, we are in awe of His mighty move in our ministry and across the city of Chicago. There is a supernatural uniting of the Body of Christ across our city that should excite us for what is ahead. At the same time, we are also witnessing the work of the enemy in bringing division, persecution, deception and false doctrines of faith against the people of God. Which is why God has led us to focus our efforts on ensuring that the church is “Rooted” in order to withstand the days of trials, tribulation and persecution we are facing in the last days.

More than ever, we are living in turbulent times that should compel us to be rooted in our faith and who we are in Christ. When everything around us is shifting and nothing seems certain, we must be intentional in our commitments and firm in what and who we believe. The day draws near, and is already here, when we will be tested. When the winds blow and the ground shakes, will we remain? Will we stand firm? The hour has come when our foundations will be tested to see how deep we are rooted in Christ (Col. 2:6-7), in God’s Word (Ps 1:2-3), in our community (Acts 2:42-47), and in our mission (Mt. 28:18-20).

It’s time to seal your commitments with a vow. Choose to be rooted in a church family that will help you grow. Ground your faith in God’s Word. Seek and walk in God’s calling over your life. Activate the idle gifts in your life that have been given to you by God. You are running out of time! Its time to bear fruit! The time is now to be Rooted!
